You know by now that the makers of call of duty modern warfare 3 care about the game being fair and release patches to make sure its fair. Well you might not be aware that they are paying around $30,000-$50,000 for each patch update and that’s for 1 platform only. This is why they work really hard to make each update improve everything they can. While you and I do not need to pay for patches the makers of the game do spend big money on there workers time and just to release it to us they are charged! So next time a patch update comes out for call of duty keep in mind that they had to pay over 40,000$ just to have that patch released for you.

File this under F for “Fail”, Amazon seemed to have accidentally revealed Black Ops 2. Amazon has reportedly listed a product under the name of Black Ops 2. Assuming it was a mistake, the game was then quickly removed from the catalogue and is nowhere to be seen. Last year, Activision was seen buying a domain under the name of “www.blackops2.com”. This hinted at the inevitable CoD sequel for 2012 but we never knew if it was the official name for it. Now that Amazon spilled the beans, it looks like it will be called Black Ops 2 after all. This is no surprise considering that Black Ops was Treyarch’s big hit compared to its other titles such as World At War. It’s still to early to tell if this is legit, but it’s becoming increasingly likely that Black Ops 2 will be this year’s CoD. Activision has yet to announce anything so stay tuned to MW3 blog and we’ll keep you updated on more info. make sure and check out cod black ops 2 world.

1 : Sprinting and aiming is a major part of Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer online and if you have been playing it as much as we are,there’s a brief pause between sprinting and aiming, enough of a window to take a fatal bullet. Let the idiots sprint into your bullets for a change.

2 : Concussion grenades explode faster than flash grenades, so server as a better escape clause. They don’t blind players as well as their flash cousins, but their movement-halting qualities prove just as disorientating.

3: The HUD’s grenade icon always gives away the location of your explosions-to-be. Help bamboozle it, and the opponent it belongs to, by cooking grenades.

4: Modern Warfare 3 tends to spawn players close to combat, to engineer constant action. As most levels are giant circuits, circling in the opposite direction often bring behind the enemy. 5: Read the radar dude. Don’t just look at the red dots, work out where they’re moving and aim to flank them. Due to the nature of Modern Warfare 3’s spawning, teams tend to be grouped together, so flanking single dots will often reveal other rivals nearby .

6 : It may appear boring, but replaying the same map over and over is the best way to learn the rhythms of battle. Chokepoints are easier to identify when you’re caught in them time and time again.

7 : Learn to tale corners with iron sights raised – you’ll be surprised how many people blindly dash towards seemingly empty doorways and bends.

8 : Be the fall dude, the literal one, that is. Dead silence lets you drop from heights without taking damage, opening up escape routes only you can take. Use them to circle back on any fragile-limbed pursuers.

Many Elite gamers where upset when they found out only one of there xbox 360 accounts could use the new maps. Now MW3 Xbox 360 Update Allows Elite DLC Access for Multiple Profiles

it is released to rectify the “unintentional” Elite DLC profile lock on Xbox 360. Numerically, this is title update #9, patch 1.09, for the 360. The 5MB patch fixes the Elite Gamertag lock allowing different profiles to access paid Elite DLC on the same console. As you may remember, last week Robert Bowling released a statement regarding the subject stating that players “who purchased the latest DLC Content Drop for Modern Warfare 3  while signed into other profiles on the same console that originally downloaded the content.” Bowling explained, “this is unintentional and we will work to get an update out.” Another Infinity Ward developer noted that yesterday’s patch “was a targeted fix.” The ninth patch was “pushed through Microsoft a.s.a.p.”

Current Activision CEO, Eric Hirshberg, gave an interesting speech at Advertising Age’s Creativity and Technology event during CES this year, one that focused on the company’s approach when dealing with the massive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 leak that hit the web in a big way back on May 13th, 2011.

He talked about fans of the franchise, and how they had every right to enjoy the information and discuss it via the multitude of online social outlets that propigate the web today. He went on to say that he implored his team to embrace the leak and live on, to view it as an opportunity instead of an obstacle. Eric called a meeting within Activision to answer one simple question, “if this leak had never happened, we would not have been able to do what?” The answer in short, revolved around the concept of welcoming “transparency” and being “straight with people.” He often used the term “lean into it,” telling his team to embrace the fire, to embrace the discussion. To ask themselves why they would normally rejoice at the notion of millions of fans discussing their game, but with this instance found themselves cringing at it simply because they did not control the moment and means which it was revealed.

Ultimately, Eric and his team decided to use the social media avenues, he described as a “blessing,” to reach out to their fanbase, admit the leak was not something they wanted to see happen, and release a teaser trailer they had planned to debut on television 4 weeks later, via the internet at that very moment instead. Traditional means such as radio and television were replaced with Facebook and Twitter.

While I think Eric’s candor and willingness to think outside the box is refreshing to say the least, some may not fully understand the lesson to be learned here for the next company that finds themselves in the same unfortunate situation. Is he suggesting they offer up their shirt when caught with their pants down? Is he asking that they openly embrace defeat, by changing their outlook? Does he want them to use Jedi mind tricks to shrink what most would see as a massive problem into something that could easily be tucked into the category of “don’t sweat the small stuff?”

The comic in me compares this to an individual realizing that there’s a burgler in their home as they head down to the fridge for a midnight snack, and instead of calling 911 (or shooting him between the eyes) they ask him if he needs a hand carrying their 60′ flat screen out the front door. Why? Because they’d rather get back to eating left over chicken wings in their bunny slippers.

On one level, yes, they didn’t allow the effort of another individual to ruin their “Feng shui” as they approached a highly anticipated product launch, but on the other, they broke away from their rollout strategy, essentially waving what some will deem a white flag to an internet community that, while great in a many ways, is often guilty of harboring criminals for their own informational gain.

Eric and his team had a choice. The freedom to decide whether or not they were going to let a situation that was clearly out of their control steer them off course. In the end, they found a way to rise above it all despite the disappointment they undoubtedly felt at the time of the leak.

Years ago, a friend of mine, who now runs one of the biggest movie blogs on the web, was approached by (let’s call him a thief) who had lifted information off the set of a blockbuster movie prior to it’s release. He approached my friend and asked him if he would be interested in purchasing said information for publication on his site. My friend said he would think about and call him back. Instead he contacted the studio and arranged a sting operation of sorts, after convincing the individual that he was interested in making the deal. Police apprehended him and my friend was later rewarded with an exclusive director sit down session by the studio for doing what he believed to be the right thing.

On a day where many sites,  are making black out tributes in recognition of SOPA and PIPA protests, Eric’s calm approach to his company’s dillema and my friend’s clear conscience decision regarding his own, are prime “reaction” and “action” examples pertaining to both the “outcome” and “opportunity” of unlawful information distribution and the internet freedom we all stand to possibly lose.

It’s my belief that the majority of the problem lies in the choices we make, not in our right to make them. Regardless of which side of the information we find ourselves on, we should always strive to make sound decisions that we’re not afraid to stand behind, and fight to preserve our rights, not because we hope to someday abuse them, but because we truly believe we’ve earned them.

Robert Bowling has just tweeted that ”Drop Zone is returning to MW3 Community Playlists alongside Infected tonight!”

The addition of “Infected” gamemode to Modern Warfare 3 knocked off Drop Zone from the community playlists angering fans in the process.

Earlier today, Activision’s Dan Amrich asked upset fans, via Twitter, to either play Drop Zone in private matches, or politely voice their concerns on the official forums to “let the devs know.” The team behind Modern Warfare 3 took notice of the fan feedback, stating “we hear what you’re saying about missing Drop Zone in MW3 loud and clear!” Unfortunately, Modern Warfare 3 is currently “limited on playlist space,” according to Robert Bowling. However, Bowling assured that they are “looking at solutions for it!” Bowling last month promised to rotate gamemodes in the community playlists. Hopefully, Drop Zone will make its way back to the community playlists as it had an active player base.
